If you decide to switch health insurance providers, you are always entitled to a cooling-off period of 14 days in which you may cancel the new insurance contract. There are no costs involved when cancelling the new contract. If you do decide to cancel, make sure that before the 1st of January you request a new insurance contract. It would be a shame to enter the new year uninsured!
